Designed as plug-and-play unmanaged Gigabit switch, the price of AirLive Live-8GT switch is very affordable. Moreover, it provides additional and useful functions such as VLAN Security and Cable-extend that you can set easily by its DIP switch. It also supports QoS data priority and has a Loop alarm build inside. The Gigabit switch is easy to manage and maintain with its fan less design and small size, the product can be widely used in home, SOHO office, or as client switch for SMB.

VLAN Mode
VLAN Mode
This additional feature gives the switch extra security for the users connected to it. The VLAN mode works as Port isolation, meaning that when it’s enabled the users connected to the LAN ports cannot communicate with each other but only communicate with the UP-Link ports (port 7/8). This way there is an extra layer of security and data will not be shared between the users. This can be used in a small office to separated guests from the company network or in a home to separate tenants.
QoS Priority (Port 1~2):
QoS is supported for data priority, this can be helpful for a IPCAM or high priority preferred device.
Extend Mode:
The switch’s Extend-mode feature allows data to be transmitted over a longer distance, up to 250Meter, using an RJ-45 cable. However, please note, the speed will drop to 10Mbps for port 1~6 when setting in “Extend Mode”. The Uplink Ports 7/8 still delivers Gigabit speed.

Port isolation mode. In this mode ports (1~6) cannot communicate with each other and can only communicate with the UP-Link port 7/8.

DefaultNormal mode, all port can communicate with each other, the transmission distance is within 100m, the transmission rate is 10M/100/1000M adaptive, Loop Support.
ExtendExtension mode, Data transmission distance can be extended to 250 meter at the transmission rate 10Mbps Port 1~6 only. 1-6 ports support 100M speed reduction negotiation, 250 meters in 10Mbps/s mode, port 7 and port 8 as uplink port at 1000Mbps
Note: VLAN and Extend mode cannot be used at the same time.
